- Finnage: Gladio-family fish are selected for extended, spreading fins; exact fin length and shape vary. Hikari is a Japanese medaka body-form/reflective designation, not a guarantee of identical fin symmetry or shine.
- Surface reflection: Metallic highlights and changing light reflection may show along the back and sides. Shade, fin spread and reflective coverage differ between individual fish.

Medaka arrival and acclimation
Prepare a cycled aquarium or suitable pond with stable water, gentle filtration and secure cover. Receive live fish promptly, minimize temperature and water-chemistry shock, and transfer using fish-appropriate acclimation without pouring transport water into the tank. Dim the lights, monitor closely for stress, quarantine new arrivals when practical, and resume light feeding after the fish settle.
