About this fish / visible traits
High-grade Black Featherlight medaka are selected for a dark featherlight-style appearance. The fish offered are regular high-grade Black Featherlight, not the separately listed Ryurin-type Dragonscale fish. Individual sheen, fin shape and contrast vary; exact genetic lineage is not documented.
Medaka arrival and acclimation
Prepare a cycled aquarium or suitable pond with stable water, gentle filtration and secure cover. Receive live fish promptly, minimize temperature and water-chemistry shock, and transfer using fish-appropriate acclimation without pouring transport water into the tank. Dim the lights, monitor closely for stress, quarantine new arrivals when practical, and resume light feeding after the fish settle.
Black Featherlight High Grade Medaka — Pair (2 Fish)
Offering: one confirmed pair (two regular High Grade Black Featherlight medaka). Aquaphoria price: $299 per pair, shipping charged separately.
Confirmed stock reference (October 25, 2026): two regular High Grade Black Featherlight pairs (four individual fish). This is separate from the one pair (two fish) of Black Featherlight Ryurin-type Dragonscale, listed separately. The Ryurin-type Dragonscale fish are not described as a genetic cross.
Availability: preorder stock, not guaranteed ready for immediate dispatch. Current online sellable quantity is controlled by the inventory shown at checkout and may be temporarily held while allocations across Aquaphoria, eBay, and AquaBid are reconciled. Do not interpret a zero checkout quantity as a new physical stock count.
Images: authentic Aquaphoria High Grade Black Featherlight video footage; color, pattern, grade and other traits vary by individual. Shipping requires safe fish health and acclimation, suitable weather and approved livestock carrier services. Aquaphoria's live-shipping and DOA policy applies.
